Josh Frazier
LEAD PASTOR

As Believers we have the ability to be apart of God's family and even more specifically a part of a local church family. Here at Woodland Baptist Church I have the wonderful privilege to be apart of this amazing church family. What a huge blessing and display of God’s grace to be called to be apart of Woodland Church family. Its been a joy so far and we are excited about what God will do in the future.
Being raised in a churched family and having the opportunity to be reared by a pastor I felt certain that I would never become a pastor myself. Little did I know that God wouldn't allow my heart to be settled until I answered that call. I attended a few colleges before I landed at Kennesaw State University where I graduated with a Communication degree in 2012. I graduated with my Masters of Arts in Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary in 2019. College and seminary taught me a lot through the years specifically dealing with ministry but another area of my life that has had a substantial impact on my call to ministry are the mentors God placed in my path and my wonderful wife.
I have always considered my father, Pastor Steve Frazier, to be one of my greatest mentors in life and in ministry. He has helped me understand the Bible and discern my calling to the ministry through my life starting from a young age. He is definitely my “go-to person” for questions that I have in life and in ministry. In 2013, after college, I began a Pastoral Mentorship with Pastor Jim Laird which gave me experience in working in ministry, clarity of where God wanted me to serve, and has been vast source of knowledge. I am ever so thankful for both of these men in my life that have helped and continue to help me give Godly wisdom in my life.
After my first year of college God guided me to another college, Brewton-Parker College, where I met an amazing lady after Gods heart and a person I could share my whole life with. Though it took a lot of convincing I finally persuaded Lydia to allow me to serve her as her husband. On November 17, 2012 we were married and God has allowed us to serve Him together “as one” on a great new adventure that has turned out to be pretty awesome love story (if you haven't heard our stories you should ask us). So far it is the two of us, our daughters Mabry, and Audry. God is always faithful and gracious, my life is living proof and I am here to serve Him no matter the cost.
